        The two types of PAC products of high viscosity (PAC-HV) and of extra-low viscosity (PAC-LV) are especial nonionic ethers which have the properties of high purity, high degree of substitution, particularly in high viscosity or low viscosity.

        A series of PAC fine products are white or slight yellow powder or granule with the high purity and clear sticky aqueous solution.
        As a polymer of water-solubility, the functions and properties of PAC as following:
        - Be dissolved in cold or hot water quickly;
        - Be regarded as thickener, rheology agent, binder, stabilizer, protective colloid, suspending aid and water retention agent.

        PAC is a good mud slurry treatment agent for well drilling and can be used as the material of well-completion liquid. It has high rate of slurry-making and excellent properties in tolerance capability of raising viscosity under the temperature of 150oC. It<92>s suitable for making fresh water, seawater and saturated brine well-completion liquid and can make up well-completion liquid with differentdensities under condition of increasing the weight of CaCl2 ,the latter has a certain viscosity and lower filtered loss quantity.

        The application results from China National Petroleum Corp.(CNPC), China National Offshore Oil Corp.(CNOOC), Daqing Oilfield, Shengli Oilfield, Europe Petroleum Exploration Specialty Co of America, show our PAC excellent performances,stable quality, especially as a reducing loss water agent. Our PAC is a semi-natural polymer and belongs to additive, thickener and reducing loss water agent. Both PAC-HV and PAC-LV are the key ingredients in the procedure of fresh water slurry and seawater slurry; as well they are absolute necessary materials in the slurry recipe .

        CMC products have the advantages of high purity, high viscosity, high degree of substitution (DS), instant property and high durability of acid resistance, salt resistance and anti-high temperature, and are widely used in well drilling, toothpaste, beverage, foodstuff, pharmaceuticals, daily chemicals, textile, construction, ceramics, paper-making, electrons and so on.

        M-CMHPC and M-CMHEC is an ionic and nonionic cellulose compound ether, combined the properties of both ionic and nonionic cellulose ether.

        The modified CMHPC has comprehensive properties owned by ionic CMC and nonionic HEC and has its own special properties, so it is widely applied in industries like petroleum, printing and dyeing, toothpaste, pharmaceutical, foodstuff, detergent, paper-making, construction to overcome unsolved shortcomings of single ionic and non-ionic cellulose ethers.

        CMHPC with excellent rheology can be applied for toothpaste as a binder and a stabilizer, which maintains toothpaste in a stable shape and fine paste for a long time. CMHPC has the advantage of the acid and salt resistance, so that it suits for all kinds of toothpaste particular in medical toothpaste. Due to the much better performance than CMC and HEC, CMHPC is regarded as an excellent additive for daily chemicals.

CMC/PAC products are used as fluid loss reducers, which can control fluid loss well. After adding CMC/PAC, the drilling fluid can form a good-quality mud cake on the well wall. The filter cake is thin and tough with a low permeability coefficient, which can effectively protect the well wall and prevent the penetration and loss of water in the drilling fluid. Generally, the fluid loss reduction effect of high-purity products is better than that of low-purity products, and the fluid loss reduction effect of high-viscosity products is better than that of low-viscosity products. The better the intrinsic quality of the product, the better the fluid loss reduction effect.
